Bilbo Baggins Character Bio

Bilbo Baggins Character Bio

Bilbo Baggins (played by Martin Freeman), of Bag End, probably shouldn’t have been quite so eager to join Gandalf for his unexpected journey — but, sometimes, when the road calls you have to answer. (The same recklessness would later take root in Bilbo’s nephew, Frodo.) Besides, good burglars are hard to find.

J.R.R. Tolkien lost audio clip leaked!

So quite recently a lost audio clip was discovered in a basement in Rotterdam, Holland. The clip was discovered by a man named René van Rossenberg over 20 years ago. The Tolkien expert stated ‘Like Smaug I am keeping my treasure hidden, hissing at any collector that comes nearby’, until another Tolkien expert, Jay Johnstone found out that Rossenberg had the clip in his possession and persuaded him to release it to the public. The whole clip has not yet been released but there is a teaser clip shown in the link below, apparently the whole clip involves Tolkien revealing the true meaning of The Lord of the Rings, more posts coming soon!

The Lord of the Rings – Extended Edition

Apparently it’s not that well known that there is a special extended edition of the lord of the rings trilogy. I got the trilogy last year as a Christmas present and I love I and it has quite a lot of extra content too! The Fellowship of the Ring contains 30 minutes of additional footage, The Two Towers contains 42 minutes of additional footage and The Return of the King contains 50 minutes of additional footage, so with a total of two hours and two minutes of extra content, its going to be good, right? All the extra content is totally valid and just adds information that Sir Peter Jackson left out of the original films. If anyone is thinking about purchasing the box sets, I would strongly recommend doing so, as it’s only an extra £10/$15!

The Silmarillion Trilogy?

The Silmarillion Trilogy?

I’ve heard a few rumours recently that Peter Jackson might direct a new trilogy based on the book ‘The Silmarillion’, after The Hobbit trilogy is complete. The book is set before the events told in The Hobbit/The Lord of the Rings. I am currently reading The Silmarillion and I think its brilliant. It fills in all the little gaps that you were asking after The Lord of the Rings e.g. Were did Saroun come from? Why were the rings of power created? How was middle earth created? How were the races of middle earth created? And so on. I honestly think the idea to make the trilogy is genius and would be adored by J.R.R. Tolkien’s fans; as it would help the fans to understand more than what the current films show. If anyone else has read/watched The Hobbit/The Lord of the Rings I would strongly recommend reading this book. Hope you guys have enjoyed reading this post and any kind of feedback is very much appreciated, more posts coming soon!

The Last Hobbit Movie

So the latest Hobbit film is set to be released on the 12th of December 2014 (UK), personally I can’t wait. There have been a few rumours as to what the latest film will be called, for example I’ve heard ‘The Hobbit: There and back again’ or ‘The Hobbit: The battle of the five Armies’. I finished reading the book just before the ‘The desolation of smaug’, I’m not about to publish any spoilers but I’m sure anyone else who has read the book will be quite excited for ‘The battle of the five armies’ battle scene, just thought I’d give you guys a heads up, more blogging soon so keep an eye out!
